Methods for safe data backup

Taking backup of you data regularly is very important because it will prevent you from data lose situation. Virus can attack on you computer any time and in few seconds your whole data will get corrupted, If you don’t have backup of this data then you are not able to regain it. If you loss data in any case then you need data backup software.

There are several ways by which you can take backup of you data safely:

1)Full data backup
2)Incremental data Backup
3)Mirror data Backup

1)Full data backup: It is best method to protect your data because in this method backup of whole data is taken. It take backup of hard drive, database, and whole file systems. If you have large amount of data then it take lots time to complete full data backup process. So this method need to perform weekly or monthly basis. But there is one problem, if this backup is stolen by anyone then he/she will get access of whole your data.

2)Incremental data Backup: This is fast method then full data backup that’s why it more preferred method. In this method files those are updated since last backup are included in incremental backup process. So this method take backup of whole data at first time and after that only incremented amount of data included in to process.

3)Mirror data Backup : Mirrored backup if similar to the full backup at some points. But functionality is totally different. Mirror backup just copy selected files and folder at given destination in given instant of time. It is faster then other methods because it copy all selected files and folders without compressing, all other methods compress files and folders.

Hi there I am Studying for my CompTIA Network+ certification and am having trouble with the data backup methods.

Can anyone help me?

I am having some difficulty in understanding the ‘Incremental’ and ‘Differential’ backup methods along with the concept of the ‘Archive Bit’

Can anyone please explain in simple terms

Also, what will i need to know about this for the exam and what sort of questions do I need to expect?
